


New and current trainees need to apply prospectively for Basic Training each year. You’ll receive an invitation from the RACP to apply for Fellowship to your applicable Division, Faculty or Chapter.Īll RACP Fellows in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas in active practice must continue to demonstrate they meet the requirements of a Continuing Professional Development program on an annual basis.

When you have successfully completed your Advanced Training, the overseeing committee will recommended you for admission to Fellowship. Eligibility is dependent on the completion of all requirements of training. Qualificationīasic Trainees are permitted to enrol in Advanced Training within 5 years of completing their Basic Training. Refer to the Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and contact the RACP to confirm your eligibility before submitting your application. Training completed previously outside Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand can be applied for Recognition of Prior Learning. Durationīasic Training in Adult Internal Medicine requires 3 years of full-time equivalent (FTE) training. Australian trainees are required to have their online application approved by their DPE.

The DPE’s approval is subject to local selection processes, training capacity and/or performance of the prospective trainee.
